They say that keeping accommodation watch is one of the hardest tasks. An accommodation watchkeeping cadet is responsible for wakeup of his mates, informing them on mentors' instructions, safety of accommodation property, maintaining order.
“I believe that this watch gives you an opportunity to feel how important and useful you are for the vessel, "- said Elizaveta Smirnovа.
Before keeping accommodation watch cadets are instructed on its every aspect. Cadets take over the watch at 6.45 a.m. At 11 a.m. an inspection officer comes to check cadet's performance. By this time the cadet must sweep and wash the floors of the living accommodation, take out the garbage and do a clean-up. By 11 pm the watch cadet should check if everybody is ready to sleep, then light is turned off.
The vessel will call at the Spanish port of Vigo on December 22-23. The city will be the first in the list of foreign ports and countries that the Sedov is going to visit.
