Maritime practice joins the round-the-world expedition

Rosrybolovstvo sailing expedition will be joined by the educational center Maritime Practice which is conducting a historical and memorial expedition to Antarctica on board of the 20-meter Bermuda sloop Wind Dancer.
Route of Wind Dancer’s expedition is below:

Ushuaia (Argentina) – Beagle Strait – Drake Strait – King George island – Russian station "Bellingshausen"– Half Moon Island – Ukrainian station "Akademik Vernadskiy" – British station "Port Lockroy" -Ushuaia (via Drake Strait). The expedition will start on February 14 and last about 20 days. Other Russian yachts and their crews will take part in it.

The crew of the Maritime Practice sloop consists of yachties who gained a lot of experience on board of the Kruzenshtern and Sedov and got special yacht training in the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.

February 15 will mark the beginning of the stage with a joint maneuvering of large sailing vessels and Russian sailing yachts in Cape Horn area.
